Project Kibosh, which was originally known as the san world, has been brewing for several years now. It is set in the year of 2303, although it starts diverging from our world in 1993.
There are multiple major differences from the present world. The main one is that strict gender segregation is present in some nations, including the United States. Much else is derived from this to make it possible. Aging has been to an extent solved. Luddism in computing won the day. Irreligion dominates. Access to space is cheap and accessible.
